Getting Ready for Admissions to College
Before you can actually apply for admission to any college, there are some things you need to do. Get a copy of the college catalog, and read the through the catalog. This will help ensure that you are applying to a school that has a degree program in which you are interested. If you cannot get a hardcopy of the catalog, check the college Website. Most colleges have their catalogs available online.
You will need:
- Shot records: most schools require you to prove you have had the measles vaccination in the past five years.
- Identification: a driver's license or other government issued ID. Some colleges will additional forms of identification.
- High School Transcript: even if you finished high school in 1968!
- College Transcripts: for every college course you have taken
- ACT/SAT scores
- Enrollment Fee
- Completed FAFSA
- Social Security Card Number
Reading the catalog will inform you if there are more requirements than those listed above.
